About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Fire TV team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software applications, tools, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services
  • Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools
  • Mentor junior engineers

About the Team

The Fire TV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting Fire TV experiences to third-party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop, and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experiences and impacts billions of viewers and devices.

Requirements

  • Experience in professional software development
  • Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
