We are currently in search of a Lead Enterprise Architecture Strategist with a strong background in SAP 4/HANA and Azure Cloud technologies to drive our strategic cloud transformation initiative aimed at enhancing our financial and construction operations.

Role Summary:

The Lead Enterprise Architecture Strategist is instrumental in crafting a cohesive architectural framework that aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization. This role involves developing a comprehensive architectural strategy and validating proposed architectural models and diagrams from various stakeholders, including system integrators and IT service providers. Effective collaboration with other IT departments and clear communication with program stakeholders are vital for achieving success.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven history in SAP 4/HANA ecosystems deployed in cloud environments, particularly in relation to on-premise applications, as our cloud initiative will be executed in phases, transitioning various systems from on-premise to Azure cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Comprehend the overarching architectural strategy for the entire cloud transformation initiative.
    • Guide a team of internal IT specialists to define technical workstreams.
    • Provide strategic direction across IT domains and business stakeholders.
    • Align technical vision with industry best practices.
    • Identify technical risks and challenges, proposing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Architectural Implementation:
    • Coordinate and oversee technical workstreams to ensure timely delivery.
    • Engage in technical discussions with partners to critically assess proposals.
    • Propose solutions that address specific business requirements and facilitate data exchange and migration.
    • Design and monitor the performance, availability, and scalability of the architecture.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee third-party development teams and validate their proposals.
    • Ensure adherence to established standards and practices.
    • Provide expert guidance to delivery teams for complex challenges.
  • Cloud Architecture Excellence:
    • Collaborate with other teams to develop artifacts and guidelines for cloud platforms.
  • Innovation and Development:
    • Lead proofs of concept with external partners when necessary.
    • Stay informed about technological trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Higher Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Solution or Enterprise Architecture.
  • At least 2 years' experience in SAP ecosystems, with a strong preference for SAP 4/HANA.
  • Cloud Certification in Azure is desirable, particularly Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing successful cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Experience integrating applications in hybrid and cloud-based environments with SAP.
  • Experience in migrating databases and historical data to cloud services.
  • Experience designing analytics architectures utilizing SAP as a data source.
  • Ability to assess scalable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in English.
