Chief Data Architect

At Bershaw Consultancy, we are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. With a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, this role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of data engineering.

We require someone with extensive experience in Azure Cloud, SQL database design, and Python programming. A strong understanding of analytical data warehouses (Snowflake required) and technologies like dbt, Apache Airflow, and Snowflake is essential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with extracting/querying/joining large data sets at scale.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that involves:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines using dbt and Airflow;
• Ensuring correctness and completeness of transformed data via engineering pipelines for end consumption in Analytical Dashboards;
• Actively monitoring and resolving technical challenges in critical situations;
• Evaluating viable technical solutions and sharing MVPs or PoCs in support of research;
• Developing relationships with external stakeholders to maintain awareness of data and security issues and trends;
• Implementing data performance and security policies that align with governance objectives and regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field;
• 6-12 years of experience in a Data Engineer role with extensive experience in Azure Cloud;
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design and Python programming;
• Demonstrably deep understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses (Snowflake required);
• Experience with technologies like dbt, Apache Airflow, and Snowflake;
• Strong communication and organizational skills;
• Spanish speaking is preferred.
