At Idneo, we are shaping the future through technology, and we are looking for a talented Firmware Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer with expertise in industrial sector embedded development, specializing in C programming. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing firmware to ensure the technical and functional feasibility of our products, collaborating closely with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test firmware for industrial sector products.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Research and develop new software programs.
  • Analyze user requirements and develop solutions.
  • Test and debug new programs.
  • Generate SW design delivery documents and write technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, HW engineers, ME engineers, designers, developers, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams in product industrialization.
  • Effectively manage product modifications during development.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in embedded software development with C and other tools like Matlab Simulink.
  • University Engineering Degree in SW Engineering/Computer Science or Telecommunications.
  • Strong team working mindset, management, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in Python programming and Bash scripting.
  • Previous experience in Real-time design and programming, FreeRTOS, and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of several communication protocols: I2C, UART, CAN, FlexRay, Profinet, SPI, IO Link.
  • Knowledge in Mechatronics, complex electronic devices, and basic electronics.
