About The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Expert to join our team as a Regional Manager Trade Compliance Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of trade regulations in Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of trade compliance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and empowerment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customs officials in the region, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • Optimize regional duty savings by analyzing trade data and implementing strategies to minimize costs.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a robust global governance framework for customs and trade compliance, working closely with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for trade compliance.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to ensure adherence to policies and procedures related to customs and trade compliance, enhancing the knowledge and skills of team members and stakeholders.
  • Drive regional implementation of strategic initiatives, continuous improvements, and solutions to accommodate new trade requirements, collaborating with trade compliance global process owners.
Requirements
  • An educational degree and sound experience in all aspects of trade compliance (+/- 10 years), with a minimum of 5 years of relevant subject matter experience in customs and trade.
  • Strong leadership skills, with previous experience of leading, developing, and engaging others, particularly remotely.
  • Regulatory compliance: thorough understanding of laws, regulations, sanctions, and industry standards, including the ability to practically implement in the region.
  • Risk Management, Project management, and Technology proficiency, i.e., ERP and connected systems, ideally SAP and SAP GTS.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with other languages being an asset.
