We are seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer to join our team at Wikiloc. As a key member of our iOS development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative features for our mobile app.
About this role:
Our iOS app is written in Swift using a mix of OOP and functional reactive programming leveraging RxSwift. We use RealmSwift for the persistence layer and build our UI with UIKit following the Coordinator pattern. Testing is an essential step in the development process, with unit tests using Quick/Nimble and plain XCTest for UI testing.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing iOS apps, solid programming skills, and a sharp analytical mind. Good product taste and empathy for people are must-haves. Above all, we are looking for managers of one who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
You should be familiar with most of the technologies used in our project, including SwiftUI, WatchKit, and Combine. As an iOS Engineer at Wikiloc, here are some examples of things you might work on:
- The next generation of offline maps for the mobile app
- New trail exploration and navigation features
- Partner integrations: Garmin, Suunto, etc.
- Improving the battery consumption and performance of the app
- Algorithms to improve recording and navigation accuracy
Great work is never done by a single person, so you'll be working closely with the rest of your teammates from the Android, iOS, and backend teams. We hope to learn tons from you and teach you what we know in return.
