About the RoleThis position involves setting up and operating various machine tools to produce high-precision parts and instruments. Your expertise in mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures will be essential in fabricating, modifying, or repairing mechanical instruments.
Your Key Responsibilities- Operate equipment and machines, carrying out routine tasks with attention to detail.
- Manage operations by following established processes and guidelines.
- Maintain and repair equipment, preparing for future use.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance by following mandatory work instructions.
- Prioritize operational tasks to meet quality standards and adhere to external regulatory codes.
- Use precision measuring equipment to interpret and utilize data.
- Read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and drawings.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues through courteous interactions.
- Understand policies and procedures to align with organizational objectives.
We are looking for an individual with strong verbal communication skills, able to express ideas clearly and concisely.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize activities efficiently to meet business objectives.
- Apply safe systems of work, prioritizing employee and equipment safety.
- Demonstrate experience in machining, with at least 2+ years in a manufacturing or repair environment.
- Hold a High School Diploma/GED and 5-7 years relevant experience.
