**Job Overview**

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is a leading supercomputing center in Spain, housing MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe. As a Data Specialist for the Computational Social Sciences and Humanities Program, you will play a key role in supporting our mission to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress.

**About the Position**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to assist the Director of the Computational Social Sciences and Humanities Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and organizing workshops and events. Additionally, they will provide logistical support to the Program's staff and occasionally draft, translate, and proofread reports.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Organize meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely receipt of briefing materials for the Director.
  • Prepare and organize workshops, conferences, and other institutional events.
  • Coordinate and interact with other functional units of the center.
  • Facilitate travel management for the Director and Group Leaders in the Computational Social Sciences and Humanities Program.
  • Provide logistical support to the Program's staff.
  • Draft, translate, and proofread reports, some with high levels of confidentiality.

**Requirements**

  • University degree level or highly vocational education (FP||) OR equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar position.
  • Experience in travel management (bookings, communication with travel agencies, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Catalan, and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of IT tools: Office Suite, SAP.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under set deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and with natural discretion.
  • Very good organization and coordination skills.
  • Capacity to interact and build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Trustworthiness and discretion.

**Compensation and Benefits**

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €45,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

**Location**

This position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department.
