About the Role

RavenPack is at the forefront of developing the next generation of generative AI tools for the finance industry and beyond.

We are seeking a Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our cutting-edge Bigdata Store system.

This innovative platform provides seamless access to vast collections of structured and unstructured datasets, enabling businesses, researchers, and developers to leverage data-driven insights more effectively.

The Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines to collect, process, and transform large volumes of unstructured data from diverse sources into our new index.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement serverless architectures for efficient resource utilization and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and security through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure system reliability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and incorporating relevant tools and practices into the development process.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in Python and Java using frameworks like SpringBoot, Quarkus or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and experience with related technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
  • Hands-on experience with relational and no-SQL databases.
