Faculty Position in Robotics and AI
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science with a specialization in Robotics and AI. The ideal candidate will have expertise in robotics, autonomous systems, and human-robot interaction.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics, including topics such as robot vision, robot learning, control systems, and human-robot interaction. They will also lead high-impact research projects in areas such as automation, robot learning, AI-driven control, perception, and navigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and teach high-quality courses in robotics, emphasizing hands-on learning and practical applicationsLead research projects in robotics and AI, securing competitive research funds and collaborating with industry partnersSupervise and mentor students on robotics projects, providing guidance on academic and professional developmentCollaborate with industry partners on interdisciplinary projects, developing innovative robot applications and addressing specific industry challengesRequired Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related fieldProven research excellence in autonomous systems, robot control, robot vision, AI for robotics, or human-robot interactionA strong publication record in top-tier journals and conferences related to robotics, AI, or autonomous systemsExperience designing and teaching high-quality courses in roboticsProficiency in programming for robotics, such as ROS (Robot Operating System), Simulink, Python, and C++Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not mandatoryEstimated Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 per year, depending on experience
