Senior Data Scientist, EU InTech Consumer Selection

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our EU InTech Consumer Selection team at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. in Madrid, Spain.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with business partners to identify opportunities for innovation and apply machine learning solutions to automate manual processes, scale existing systems, and improve catalog data quality.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable distributed services to meet business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business leaders, scientists, and product managers to translate business requirements into concrete deliverables.
- Contribute to the scientific roadmap of the team, setting standards for scientific excellence and influencing the direction of the team.
- Work with state-of-the-art models, including image-to-text, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI (GenAI).
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
- Experience in building models for business applications.
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly with respect to computer vision algorithms.
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
- Experience with popular deep learning frameworks such as MxNet and TensorFlow.
- Experience with machine learning techniques for fast and accurate extraction of visual features of humans from photographs.
