About the Role
Nissan Motor Iberica Sa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced European Commodity Buyer to join our Purchasing organization in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the procurement of high-quality components and materials for our European operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance
- Manage sourcing activities from sourcing to start of production, including RFQs, quotation analysis, and negotiations
- Coordinate sourcing activities for European models and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in procurement with a proven track record in supplier management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with French or Japanese a plus
