We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at the Centre for Genomic Regulation. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing sophisticated interfaces that have been created by our UX/UI designer.
The selected candidate will contribute to the development of a platform that enables scientists to access and query the biomedical data generated by research and healthcare institutions worldwide, while aligning with data privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-quality, user-friendly frontend applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work closely with our backend team to integrate frontend applications with our back-end system.
- Collaborate with our UX/UI designer to ensure that the frontend applications meet the required design standards.
- Contribute to the development of a platform that enables scientists to access and query the biomedical data generated by research and healthcare institutions worldwide.
- Align with data privacy regulations and ensure that the platform meets the required security standards.
- Strong background in Web frontend (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Understanding of server-side aspects (including web security).
- Experience in working with REST APIs for application and services integration.
- Experience with containerization technology (such as Docker).
- Experience in Python (including async programming).
- Knowledge of querying databases: SQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Neo4J, etc.
- Knowledge in unit testing and E2E testing using Cypress.
- Knowledge of Java, PERL, Rust.
- Experience in Data Curation, Data mining, harmonisation.
- Knowledge of UX Design Experience and proficiency with design tools.
- A master's in bioinformatics will be considered a plus.
- Fluency in English, as it is the working language of the group.
