About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Back End Software Engineer to join our team at TUI. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying software applications in a cloud environment, specifically on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop resilient and high-performing cloud-native applications using AWS services and cloud design patterns.
  • Collaborate with the team to own the software products from conception to operation, ensuring a high degree of automation, clean architectures, and high quality.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the AWS toolbox, leveraging AWS services and cloud design patterns in a micro-service landscape.
  • Contribute to increasing automation and take ownership of software products, from design to operation.
  • Work closely with the domain's Practice teams and Group Enabler teams to research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools.

Requirements

  • Completed technical degree (e.g. computer science, business informatics) or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience in the further development of products and services and in the implementation of customer requirements.
  • Very good knowledge of.Net C# as well as relevant frameworks and concepts, such as.Net and Core, REST, MVC, and Microservices.
  • Good knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases.
  • Experience in creating modern ASP.NET applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
