About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Team Lead to join our dynamic team at Ciklum. As a Java Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional development team that engineers experiences of tomorrow.

You will be part of an international team that builds high-quality tools for a leading digital construction management company. We are creating a team from the ground up, and you will play a key role in shaping the team's culture and direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead one of our Scrum teams (Backend, Frontend, QA, Automation)
  • Manage the development and operation of central microservices in the company
  • Be responsible for API design and implementation
  • Make an impact in choosing new technologies and implementing new features
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
  • Collaborate with architects and other technical leads to design scalable solutions
  • Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of sophisticated architectures, business processes, and industry standards
  • Serve as an advisor to develop highly resilient and future-proof solutions
  • Mentor new and existing team members in their professional growth
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of Team Lead experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java development
  • Extensive experience with Relational Databases
  • Experienced with AWS (ECS, S3, EC2)
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • High self-motivation and ability to motivate others without using authority
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of English
Desirable:
  • Experience with Cloud/SaaS products – a significant advantage
  • Experienced with build tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Docker (Containers, Images, Docker Compose)
  • Experience working with data integrations and APIs
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
