We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Engineer to join our team at Arup. As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing fire safety strategies, collaborating with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, and reviewing and auditing work on fire safety in buildings and existing infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop fire safety strategies and collaborate with internal and external teams
- Review and audit work on fire safety in buildings and existing infrastructures
- Develop calculations related to fire safety studies, including simplified calculations and advanced CFD methods, FEM, or modeling of the movement of people
- Design fire protection systems in coordination with internal and external teams
- Stay up-to-date with fire safety standards, including BS, NFPA, FM Global, and Spanish fire codes
- BS in Architectural, Mechanical Engineering, or similar studies
- Master's Degree in Fire Safety Engineering or similar
- Previous experience in fire safety and/or fire protection engineering
- High level of English and Spanish (C1)
- Knowledge of software packages, including CFD modeling tools, people movement modeling tools, and structural modeling tools
