**About the Role**
The Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is seeking a highly skilled Research Technician to join our team. As a Research Technician, you will be responsible for working with our partner hospital to collect samples, process them for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF), perform image acquisition, and optimize the image acquisition and data analysis pipeline.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collect and process samples for IHC and IF
- Perform image acquisition and data analysis
- Optimize image acquisition and data analysis pipeline
- Collaborate with our partner hospital to collect samples
**Requirements**
- More than 5 years of experience as a research technician
- Proven experience in tissue handling, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and image analysis
- Desirable but not required: experience with customizable image analysis pipelines, knowledge of cancer biology, particularly breast cancer, experience with Western Blot, cell culture, qPCR, and other routine cellular and molecular biology techniques
**What We Offer**
- Technical and scientific activities contract with an estimated duration of 1 year and possible extension
- Estimated annual gross salary: salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales
**About the Lab**
Our laboratory specializes in high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics, and cell and molecular biology techniques. We are a group of about 10 people from different cultures and countries. We are part of the genome biology department at the CRG, aiming to understand why metabolic enzymes localize to the nuclear environment and participate in specific chromatin functions.
