About the Role

The Cloud Infrastructure Architect is a pivotal position at Amazon, where you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions. This role requires a strong background in cloud computing, DevOps practices, and experience with various tools and technologies.

AWS Professional Services engages in a diverse range of projects for customers and partners, providing extensive knowledge from across the AWS customer base. As an AWS Cloud Consultant, you will collaborate with our customers and partners to design and implement effective cloud strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions for customers, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • You will work closely with customers and partners to understand their needs and develop tailored cloud strategies.
  • You will stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features, applying this knowledge to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • You will collaborate with other teams within AWS to leverage collective expertise and deliver exceptional results.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a conferral date within May 2023 to May 2025.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, Node.js, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience with automating cloud-native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, or other tools.
  • Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS), and/or GitLab Pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery using Agile practices.
  • Experience with configuration management frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.
  • Knowledge of code Version Control branching strategies.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewall.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregation frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElastiSearch, and Kibana.
  • Knowledge of the DORA metrics and how they relate to the SDLC process.
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud-native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps.
  • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate.
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills.

Salary Range

$115,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience.
