Job Description:

As a Junior Quality Assurance Tester at Fx Digital, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and report defects in our applications, working closely with the development team to resolve these issues. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans and test cases, as well as collaborating with other QA team members to implement automation coverage across current and future projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved throughout the full test life cycle, including test case planning and definition, test execution, defect capture, and reporting.
  • Enforce and uphold the quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Hold yourself and colleagues accountable for the standard of work that is released, ensuring it meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Thorough documentation of test plans and test cases and the maintenance of these.
  • Report and prioritise bugs and issues raised in a variety of channels.
  • Proactively and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with Junior and Senior QAs to contribute towards implementing broader automation coverage across current and future projects.
  • Assist with the personal development of more junior members of the QA team.

Requirements:
  • Good understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of APIs, testing of them and related tools.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and eye for detail.
  • Able to effectively communicate, written and verbally, to all levels within the business.
  • Experience with version control and workflows and relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Able to demonstrate great attention to detail, care, and accuracy while maintaining the speed of work to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Exceptional understanding of UX qualities.
  • Experience using software debugging tools (e.g. web inspector).
