Business Analyst for Financial Consolidation and Tax Reporting

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Business Analyst to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our Financial Performance Management team, you will be responsible for connecting the business to our technical Oracle EPM - FCCS and TRCS environments.

Your primary focus will be on providing techno-functional support to our daily operational business processes, as well as proposing, designing, and implementing new requirements and enhancements to our solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing existing requirements, processes, data, trends, and market conditions to define scope and communicate opportunities to the IT Manager.
  • Understanding, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements against market trends and existing processes.
  • Creating scoping documents to align business requirements and providing input for business case creation and resource planning.
  • Driving early business and functional designs, high-level solutioning sessions, and high-level assessments in terms of efforts (resources, time, budget, skills).
  • Assessing resource requirements and development timelines, designing solutions, and translating business needs into relevant solutions.
  • Preparing quality assurance measures in accordance with specified requirements and translating the impact of solutions to the business.
  • Supporting project managers during building and testing phases, ensuring compliance to internal controls and Galderma standards, and integrating new solutions to our existing IT landscape.
  • Coordinating the development of functional specification documents, solution testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Establishing and supporting the sustain model around our systems, in liaison with the Operations Manager for IT Finance and application maintenance and support partners.
Requirements
  • Strong professional experience in a similar position, including Accounting and Financial Reporting functions.
  • Experience with financial performance management applications/platforms, including Oracle EPM, specifically Oracle Financial Consolidation & Close Cloud (FCCS), Tax Reporting Cloud (TRCS), and Enterprise Data Management Cloud (EDMCS).
  • Ability to communicate with and influence finance business leaders/partners and super users, as well as establish new relationships quickly.
  • Strong time and work management capabilities, prioritizing key business peaks.
  • Collaborative, yet able to operate independently; self-motivated/driven yet able to influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience navigating diverse and virtual teams.
