About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant, Accounting & Reporting to join our team at La Morella Nuts SAU. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting, reporting, and tax activity for our company, contributing to a solid basis of data for analysis and decision-making while ensuring compliance with local statutory and Group requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing and financial statements in accordance with local statutory and Group requirements (IFRS).
  2. General Accounting: Perform general accounting tasks such as fixed assets accounting, payroll accounting, and manual journal postings.
  3. Treasury Activities: Manage local treasury activities, including cash management, payment runs, bank statement posting, fx hedge, and fx revaluation.
  4. External Audits: Support external auditors on conducting interim and yearly audits.
  5. Statutory Reporting: Prepare the annual statutory report (Cuentas Anuales).
  6. Financial Reporting to the Group: Prepare, review, and submit monthly financial reporting to the Group.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and directives.
  8. Accounting Expertise: Develop and share accounting expertise and knowledge.
  9. Stakeholder Relationships: Build, maintain, and coordinate relationships with external stakeholders and the finance community within the Barry Callebaut Group.
  10. Tax Compliance: Ensure local Tax compliance for direct and indirect taxes.
  11. Record Retention: Retain and archive records electronically.
  12. Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies, and organization.

Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting or audit, ideally in an international company.
  3. Language: Fluency in Spanish and good level of English, both written and oral.
  4. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Deadline Management: Ability to deal with monthly deadlines.
  6. MS Excel: Good knowledge of MS Excel.
