We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Lab Manager to join our team at the Institut Quimic Sarria (IQS) – Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, participating in scientific projects, and assisting in administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organization skills, a team player attitude, and high proactivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lab management: ordering and receiving materials, organizing common materials, looking after lab equipment, and taking charge of lab maintenance.
  • Technical assistance: peptide synthesis/purification/characterization, preparation of materials/reagents, and help in other aspects of molecule/biotherapeutic development.
  • Administrative tasks: assistance in project submission and data management, completing recruitment/travel/investment forms, and updating website and social media.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Team player attitude.
  • High proactivity.
  • English language skills.

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and other benefits, including learning and training opportunities. The contract will be funded by the European Research Council and the Ministry for Science and Technology of the Spanish Government.
