Job Description

Reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Associate Procurement Manager Logistics is responsible for delivering business results, implementing global strategies, ensuring continuity of supply, and minimizing total cost of ownership to meet the business needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Developing and Deploying Strategies
    • Developing and deploying strategies to optimize the total delivery cost across an identified set of Logistics categories.
  • Engaging with Key Stakeholders
    • Engaging with key business stakeholders, from SVPs to the operational level, to maintain alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Collaborating with Logistics Operations Teams
    • Engaging and collaborating with Logistics Operations teams to drive portfolio optimization and consolidation.
  • Negotiating with Suppliers
    • Negotiating service T&Cs with suppliers.
  • Developing Commercial Contracts
    • Development, revision, and discussion of commercial contracts with suppliers.
  • Ensuring Security of Supply
    • Ensuring security of supply by driving alternative solutions and contingency plans.
  • Upholding Supplier Service Level Commitments
    • Upholding supplier service level commitments, both in terms of on-time deliveries as well as service quality.
  • Delivering Savings
    • Delivering savings by identifying and driving cost savings projects and initiatives.
  • Providing Accurate Cost Forecasts
    • Providing accurate cost forecasts and understanding key market trends.
  • Linking Market Trends with Supplier Portfolios
    • Linking knowledge of current market trends with supplier portfolios to identify opportunities for marketplace advantages and generate new ideas for gaining competitive advantages.
  • Establishing Supplier Relationships
    • Establishing, developing, and maintaining supplier relationships to ultimately create value for the organization.
  • Representing Procurement on Cross-Functional Project Teams
    • Representing procurement on cross-functional project teams.
