Software Development Engineer

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join the Fire TV Devices Organization. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software applications, tools, and systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a greenfield engineering team, building tools and technologies that will redefine the way third-party partners build their TVs on the Fire TV ecosystem. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy, helping to define product features, drive system architecture, and spearhead best practices that enable a quality product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop distributed software applications, tools, and systems
  • Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, and supportable solutions
  • Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools
  • Mentor junior engineers
About the Team

The Fire TV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting Fire TV experiences to third-party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop, and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experiences and impacts billions of viewers and devices.

Requirements
  • Experience in professional software development
  • Experience designing or architecting systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
