Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Commodity Procurement Specialist to join our Technical Center in Valls, Spain. As a key member of our procurement team, you'll be responsible for commodity purchasing for T&C component products in Europe, with support for other regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement T&C component strategy, driving day-to-day actions and initiatives
  • Act as the single point of contact for suppliers and cross-functional teams for all T&C related activities in Europe
  • Identify and develop new commodity suppliers, monitoring their implementation within Lear
  • Achieve commodity savings targets through negotiation and implementation of Supply Cost Technical Optimization (SCTO)
  • Support the entire product life cycle, from procurement phase to end of life
  • Lead T&C component commodity initiatives for assigned vendors, including sourcing new and existing T&C component spend
  • Manage T&C Directed suppliers and ensure alignment with regional commodity and supplier strategies
  • Coordinate supplier workshops with Engineering to drive cost reduction ideas and implementation
  • Maintain system updates, supplier contracts, parts approvals, and other administrative tasks
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and future developments to support identification of alternative sources
  • Support plants on logistics and quality issues with suppliers

Requirements

  • Engineering or Business Administration degree preferred, with work experience in the automotive and T&C components industry
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong knowledge of the English language
  • Good communication skills in a global organization, with problem-solving and analytical abilities
