Platform Engineering Team Lead

Ebury is a hyper-growth FinTech firm seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our platform engineering team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to ensure the high availability and reliability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of SREs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and reliability of our systems.
  • Define and implement best practices for monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting of infrastructure and applications.
  • Design and implement automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that their applications are designed for scalability and reliability.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and services to ensure they meet our reliability and scalability requirements.
  • Manage the team's performance, develop career paths, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable applications.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA) is a plus.
