About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to join our team in Civil Infrastructure design. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D. You will work in engineering project collaboration software platforms and self-check drawings for quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and adhere to project CAD standards
- Prepare finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D
- Work in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e., ProjectWise, BIM360)
- Self-check drawings for quality assurance, following the QAQC procedure in force in the project
- Work in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues based in different offices
- Perform responsibilities under limited supervision
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as CAD Technician on Hydraulics and Drainage projects
- Expert in the use of CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation)
- Software accreditation will be considered favorable
- Working experience in modeling using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer will be considered favorable
- Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
- Communicative level of English (oral and written)
- Experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA, Canada, and Australia will be considered favorable
