We are seeking a highly skilled tax/transaction attorney to join our team at Marbella Accounting. As a key member of our legal and financial consultancy team, you will play a crucial role in advising our Business team on international tax, M&A, and strategic investments.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate tax advice from external international top-tier providers to counsel various businesses on structuring, negotiating, and consummating M&A and investment transactions.
- Reconcile tax advice internally with the accountancy department and work closely with the Financial department under the supervision of a Financial Controller.
- Identify tax elements of transactions, engage outside counsel, review advice, and identify risks.
- Prepare and review loan agreements and assist the accounting team in booking correct entries for each transaction.
- Participate in overseeing due diligence, working collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams, and hiring and managing outside counsel.
- Strong academic credentials, including a degree in Tax and admission to practice in the UK or any other English-speaking jurisdiction.
- Experience as a tax advisor on M&A transactions and international companies.
- Knowledge of basic principles of Corporate Finance and transaction KPIs.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a big 4.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly explain complex ideas.
- Sound and practical business judgment, as well as common sense and a good sense of humor.
- Experience with M&A.
- Admitted to practice in the UK or an English-speaking jurisdiction.
- Competitive salary: €30,000 - €45,000 gross per year (DoE).
- Full-time, permanent position.
