We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Researcher to join our team at Universidad de Alicante. The successful candidate will collaborate with our funded line of research "R&D in CRISPR-Cas systems".

Job Details
  • Job Title: Junior Researcher
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Department: Research and Development
  • Location: Universidad de Alicante
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, in morning/afternoon sessions
  • Remuneration: €2,200 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations)
Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research and development activities in the field of CRISPR-Cas systems
  2. Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals
  3. Design and implement experiments to study CRISPR-Cas systems
  4. Analyze data and draw conclusions
  5. Communicate research findings through reports and presentations
Requirements
  • Education: PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or equivalent content
  • Language: B2 English
  • Citizenship: Spanish national or in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015
  • Age: At least 16 years old and not exceeding the maximum compulsory retirement age
  • Physical and mental abilities: Possess the necessary physical and mental capacities and aptitudes for the performance of the corresponding functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in biochemical purification and characterization of proteins, molecular biology techniques of prokaryotes, and CRISPR-Cas systems
  • Language: English (level higher than B2 will be assessed)
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Catalan
