We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation team. This role requires a willingness to learn and develop a range of knowledge and skills that include executing tests in a flight simulator environment, post-flight analysis, comparison of experimental data to models, and all other tasks related to the development and validation of models for an eVTOL.
Key Responsibilities- Support verification and validation activities that rely on model outputs
- Develop and improve software methods behind modeling tools and workflows
- Document models' correlation and validation against experimental data
- Collaborate with test pilots to improve model fidelity based on feedback from simulator sessions
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a relevant discipline
- 5-7 years of industry experience or advanced degree in a related field and 2+ years of industry experience
- Excellent problem-solving, software debugging, and communication skills
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, and Simulink
- Understanding of aircraft and rotorcraft aerodynamics
- Ability to work in groups and individually
- Understanding of aircraft stability and control derivatives
- Understanding of regression and system identification methods
- Basic understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) principles
- Previous experience working on an aviation certification program
- Experience or exposure to C++
- Previous experience working on an aviation certification program

The target base pay for this position is $108,000 - $144,000 per year. Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
