About the Role

The Associate Director Enterprise Architecture IAM will play a key role in leading the IAM Enterprise Architecture and contributing to a comprehensive transformation program to modernize and centralize Novartis' IAM backbone.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain IAM standards and architecture patterns, aligning with Novartis' technology strategy.
  2. Provide technical leadership for various IAM transformation projects, including evaluating business requirements and security technologies, planning technology deployment, and aligning with security engineering and solution architecture teams.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements, propose solutions, provide technical oversight, lead technical implementation, and support adoption of new technologies and capabilities.
  4. Contribute to the development of overall Novartis technology strategies, designs, standards, and procedures that support business strategies.
  5. Ensure IAM applications are effectively security tested, according to their criticality, throughout development and its lifecycle.
  6. Develop and maintain industry knowledge regarding IAM.
Requirements
  1. University degree in a business, technical, or scientific field, or comparable education/experience.
  2. 10+ years of experience in the Identity and Access Management domain, with a minimum of 5 years in an architecture capacity and 5+ years of IAM project experience, including leading teams.
  3. Demonstrated security architecture conceptual skills, solutions delivery, and decision-making, incorporating sound security principles and emerging technologies to design and implement enterprise security solutions.
  4. Prior experience in IAM policy, standards, guidelines, and patterns definition.
  5. In-depth understanding of the IAM domain, including strong knowledge of:
    1. Role and attribute-based access control implementation experience.
    2. IAM governance processes.
    3. Azure AD security technologies.
    4. IAM capabilities of major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, etc.
    5. Privileged access management.
    6. AD architecture.
    7. API security and best practices for authentication/authorization.
    8. Automation and integration related to IAM systems.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  7. Proven experience in initiating and managing projects that affect other divisions, departments, and functions, as well as the corporate environment.
  8. Experience working in a multi-vendor, global environment and leading technical teams.
  9. Self-motivated, delivery-focused, with keen attention to detail and good decision-making ability.
Desirable
  1. Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM.
  2. Prior experience in leading IAM transformation projects from a technical perspective.

Location

This role can be based in Barcelona or Hyderabad. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role.
