About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Insights Analyst to join our team at Glaxosmithkline. As a key member of our Commercial Business Units, you will play a critical role in providing business insights to support the development of business goals, strategies, and tactics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an insights, data, and analytical consultant across all departments, including Commercial Decision Support, Data Management, Finance, Forecasting, and other partners.
  • Support Commercial and Finance stakeholders in establishing and developing medium- to long-range strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities, and developing strategic recommendations to optimize revenues and profitability.
  • Engage with the business function to identify and prioritize projects where data can be beneficial and define the detailed business question/problem.
  • Partner with Marketing and Finance teams to develop brand forecasts and identify risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions and ensuring common volume numbers are used in demand/supply planning and financial forecasting.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of data solutions and initiatives by identifying the data that can be used, ensuring the output will be understood and usable by users, validating the data/insights results, developing recommendations based on insights, and driving ongoing adoption within the business.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Prior working experience in a business insights or analytics role, with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business.
  • Ability to translate advanced analytic solutions into business contexts and vice versa, adding business value through data insights and analysis.
  • Experience in reporting tools (Power BI) or other analytics tools.
  • Experience in commercial analysis (marketing research, sales/marketing analysis, forecasting, competitive intelligence), with a strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work, communicate effectively, influence, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels in a matrix environment organization.
  • Fluent in English.
