About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Alén Space. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge satellite systems and contribute to the development of innovative space-related products and services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues. This role requires a strong background in software testing, debugging, and quality assurance, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate software functionality and performance
  • Collaborate with software developers to identify and troubleshoot defects, implementing effective solutions to improve software quality
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline testing processes and reduce manual effort
  • Provide expert guidance on software quality best practices and standards, promoting a culture of excellence within the team
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or related roles
  • Proven expertise in software testing methodologies, including black box, white box, and gray box testing
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as C, Java, or Python, and experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters' degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools
