Salary
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Job Description
As a Purchasing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the entire purchasing process, from sourcing and procurement to inventory management and reporting. You will work closely with our Head Chefs and Department Heads to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve supply chain efficiency
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including stock levels, movements, and disposals
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relations
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing and inventory control
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
- Proven experience in purchasing and inventory control, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, with minimal supervision
