As a global leader in the electrical industry, our Electrical Division is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) within the local Country Service Unit, Cluster Service, and EMEA level if required. This role involves providing first-class service for Eaton installed base products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty. Key responsibilities include installation, commissioning, fault finding, and repairs, as well as supporting the extended EMEA Service community through high-level technical knowledge and experience in the field.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to oversee data centre commissioning on behalf of Eaton Field Service in local service units and clusters or EMEA levels, if required. The ideal candidate will provide the highest level of technical expertise in all hyperscale commissioning activities, support and train local field service engineers, and onboard, coach, and mentor new field service engineers that join Eaton.

The successful candidate will also manage key account technical escalations, providing support including site visits to engineers and customers alike, driving escalations to conclusion, and providing feedback where necessary. Additionally, they will work closely with project managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting in the selection of suitable engineers, carrying out site visits as required.

A strong focus on health and safety audits of field service engineers and subcontractors will also be essential, ensuring high standards required by Eaton are maintained. Required qualifications include an installer electrical background, suitable education/qualifications, and 5-7+ years of working with UPS, experience in Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, commissioning, fault finding, and repairs of Eaton installed base products
  • Supporting the extended EMEA Service community through high-level technical knowledge and experience in the field
  • Managing key account technical escalations, providing support including site visits to engineers and customers alike
  • Working closely with project managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting in the selection of suitable engineers
  • Performing health and safety audits of field service engineers and subcontractors
