Skydance Animation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Director to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting innovative tools for our artists to efficiently create high-quality animated films.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with artists and production management to design and implement tools and processes for feature film production.
- Act as the first point of contact for technical support and troubleshooting.
- Report on the status of technical development projects and tool performance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve production pipelines and user experiences.
- Stay up-to-date with current artistic methodologies and technology trends.
- 5+ years of experience in VFX or animation industries.
- 3+ years of experience in the animation industry.
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep understanding of 3D animated film production pipelines and workflows.
- Expertise in Python and experience building tools for Maya, Houdini, and Nuke.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and Renderman and Arnold is a plus.
