About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Network Engineer to join our team at the Proximus Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting advanced telecommunications solutions in the voice, roaming, messaging, signalling, and IoT domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and validate new developments
  • Deploy in production and other validation environments
  • Automate operations tasks (installation, monitoring, etc.)
  • Respond to emergencies and take part in a L3 guard duty service
  • Debug software issues in lab environments
  • Monitor service availability and performance
  • Take proactive and reactive maintenance actions
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field
  • Technical knowledge of telecommunication protocols; voice and mobile core networks (VoIP, SIP, SS7, LTE, GTP, etc.)
  • Knowledge in programming languages (Java, C) and scripting
  • Hands-on experience in Linux OS environments
  • Familiar with computer networks and protocols
  • Analytical thinking, ability to solve problems, strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with DevOps concepts and tools (CI/CD, Gitlab, Ansible, containers, etc.)
