Senior Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all legal and compliance requirements are met, and that the organization is well-equipped to navigate any challenges that may arise.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders, as well as managing the legal function across the organization. This will include advising on complex employment law issues, reviewing contracts and agreements, and ensuring that all legal and compliance requirements are met.

In addition to your legal responsibilities, you will also act as Compliance Officer, responsible for ensuring that all compliance requirements are met. This will include monitoring and reporting on compliance matters, advising on compliance-related issues, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Manage the legal function across the organization
  • Advise on complex employment law issues
  • Review contracts and agreements
  • Ensure all legal and compliance requirements are met
  • Act as Compliance Officer, responsible for compliance matters

Requirements and Skills:

  • Advanced negotiation skills: able to work effectively to objectives with the personal sensitivity to manage negotiations with a range of stakeholders, including business leaders, senior management and employees.
  • Strong employment law experience: particularly within EMEA jurisdictions, with the ability to advise on complex employment law issues, including contracts, disputes, and compliance matters.
  • Commercial awareness: with the ability to grasp complex commercial situations and drive effective solutions.
  • Qualified Lawyer: in Europe and/or another jurisdiction, with post-qualification experience of at least 5-10 years in services industry in a similar capacity.
