The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is situated on the stunning Formentor Peninsula, boasting panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding landscapes. This historic property was initially opened in 1929 as part of an expansive private estate and is currently undergoing restoration and renovation. The resort is expected to reopen its doors as a Four Seasons property in June 2024.
Culinary Team Member OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Cook to join our Food and Beverage team at the Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor. As a vital member of our culinary team, the successful candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests.
The ideal candidate will prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner items according to guest orders while adhering to production requirements and quality standards. They will maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, operate kitchen equipment efficiently, and properly clean equipment following use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items consistently according to guest orders and production requirements.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including food processors, mixers, and ovens.
- Maintain a clean and organized station.
- Understand health codes and possess strong knife-cutting skills.
- Determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line setup.
- Return unused food items to designated storage areas.
- Prioritize tasks by shift and manage workload effectively.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess excellent teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. A trade apprenticeship or registered training in the culinary discipline is essential, along with a minimum of two years of culinary experience in a luxury restaurant or similar setting. Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations is also required.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have continuous standing capabilities for up to 8 hours per shift, be able to lift up to 30Kg, and demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish.
