Job Title: Industrial Measurement Engineer for Tooling
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Measurement Engineer to join our Tooling & Robotics team at Airbus Commercial in Getafe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing measurement systems for present and future aircraft developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Measurement Systems: Develop and implement measurement systems according to Business Processes and Quality Standards.
- Business Processes: Implement measurement system according to FU.IN.03.06, and define and perform numerical control programming for measurement programs according to FU.IN.03.04.
- Requirements Translation: Recognize engineering and manufacturing engineering requirements and translate them into metrology requirements.
- Boundary Drawings: Support and contribute to boundary drawings in the development phase in close collaboration with the industrial capability and tolerance engineer.
- Inspection Process: Contribute to the consistency of the overall inspection process for geometric parameters by participating in the development of the MFT control plan.
- Geometric Measurement: Define and prepare geometric measurement tasks and enable a robust inspection process that meets initial engineering requirements.
- Measurement System Requirements: Gather measurement system requirements to make trade-offs between available solutions according to the Airbus Measurement Catalog D, or share and generate development requests with Central ME and APT function.
- Qualification: Ensure the qualification of the measurement system according to the Measurement System Analysis (MSA) standard.
- Collaboration: Consult with the Industrial Capabilities and Tolerances Engineer and other necessary specialists to align strategies and support during the creation of the Manufacturing Capability Database (MCD).
- Problem Solving: Support Practical Problem Solving (PPS) in serial production with non-serial measurement tasks.
- Process Improvement: Connected with the Process Operations Manager Representative (POM Rep.) to proactively contribute to process improvements.
- Metrology Strategy: Be a member of the Airbus Process Technology (APT) network for industrial measurement to define and execute metrology strategy.
