Job Overview

Nutreco is a leading provider of innovative solutions for sustainable food production. As our Sustainability Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our environmental strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and exceed sustainability objectives.

This position involves close monitoring and improvement of the company's environmental impact, aligning with both local and global Nutreco regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable programs, assessing their effectiveness and making strategic adjustments as needed.
  • Craft and define our local sustainability strategy to mirror the global Nutreco vision, ensuring efficient and profitable outcomes within set timelines.
  • Generate detailed reports and presentations to keep management updated on progress and advocate for further sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee environmental project financing documentation, including grant proposals, to ensure legal compliance.
  • Stay ahead by tracking industry sustainability trends and competitor initiatives to continuously refine our approach.
  • Equip our commercial team with knowledge and tools to leverage sustainability in customer engagements and value propositions.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, with additional training in Sustainability and Environmental Sciences preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience in sustainability, environmental sciences, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of managing objectives and KPIs.
  • Native proficiency in Spanish and fluency in English.
