About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engine Tuning Intern to join our team at AVL Iberica. As an intern, you will contribute to the calibration of gasoline engines, develop calibration datasets, and validate results in various ambient conditions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate gasoline engines for various specialties, including base calibration, performance, GPF, and driveability.
  • Develop calibration datasets for hybrid gasoline engines to meet project requirements.
  • Validate calibration results in both facility and on-road conditions.
  • Plan and execute vehicle testing programs to ensure accurate results.
  • Analyze results and prepare recommendations for project improvements.
  • Report results to the project board and contribute to the development of cutting-edge mobility technology.

Your Profile:

  • Education: Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
  • Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and vehicle dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Matlab Simulink and ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, and French (desirable).
  • Valid driving license (B) and willingness to relocate to France for a minimum of 6 months.
