The PositionAs a Software Architect - Enterprise Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring that software applications align with business needs and requirements in terms of structure and function. You will establish and maintain technology standards, evaluate and direct new technology designs, and provide technical architectural expertise. Your role will be vital in designing, enhancing, implementing, and scaling application platforms.
You will solve complex technical problems in enterprise applications, design and propose solutions for future challenges, and work at scale to design distributed systems. You will also advance engineering and architectural best practices throughout the organization through mentoring and guidance. You will work closely with the business to translate business requirements into application design that fits the overall business architecture.
Your Key Responsibilities- Assess complex technical solutions, define the architectural roadmap, and support the product manager in defining implementation priorities.
- Define how application components relate to each other and how facilities will support business capabilities.
- Communicate technical approaches, concepts, and impact clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage architectural decisions records (ADR) and a technical debt backlog for implemented solutions affecting current and future product architecture.
- Ensure application components align with application architecture and meet performance goals. Guide performance management reviews to measure attainment of established goals.
- Perform technology due diligence on software development and architecture topics, including open-source solutions.
- Provide data to senior management on new trends and threats in the software space.
- Collaborate with the principal software engineer to ensure development teams build to the system architecture as designed.
- Guide cross-functional technical alignment on technology and solution definitions, including cross-capability, cross-release issues, and application integrity.
- Work with cross-functional teams, product management, product owners, development, and operations to architect innovative operating alternatives that form the overall operating strategy and business architecture.
