Technical Application Scientist II

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Scientist II to join our Life Sciences Solutions Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support for our Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) products and workflows, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for NGS products and workflows, answering customer technical inquiries via phone, email, or web form.
- Collaborate with Clinical Application Scientists and Field Application Scientists to ensure effective support for Ion and Oncomine Assays.
- Work with customers to gather commercial and technological trends, creating technical tips, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Recommend changes to our knowledge databases, websites, and other company-managed resources of technical information.
- Present technical updates to colleagues and contribute to department meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics).
- 2+ years laboratory experience, with strong hands-on experience with Sequencing techniques, ideally with Oncology sequencing experience.
- Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory or clinical research environment, with exposure to NGS technologies and interpretation of genomic data.
- Fluent English and Italian languages (spoken and written), with additional European languages an asset.
