Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Strategist to lead our security vision and strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical security solutions with business objectives.

Your mission will be to define and lead the security vision and strategy for our systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological advancements.

You will collaborate with product management, business, and operations teams to align technical security solutions with business objectives. This includes communication and collaboration with senior stakeholders and clients.

You will provide technical guidance and direction to product delivery teams on security architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of security solutions.

You will establish and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

You will lead the design of threat modelling exercises, targeted penetration tests, and architecture security reviews, in conjunction with Software & Security Engineering teams.

You will design and develop secure architectures in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures, as well as developing frameworks and solutions for securing CI/CD pipelines.

You will implement and manage security systems across the entire organisation's infrastructure, data, and applications to defend against security threats.

You will assist with the facilitation of a security training and awareness programme for all company employees.

You will work alongside Customer Service Desk and Software Engineers in response to security incidents and vulnerabilities, assist with conducting root cause analysis and lessons learned.

You will stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and continuously improve the company's posture on security.

You will work with vendors and internal stakeholders to provide effective incident resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in security engineering or software architecture, preferably in a financial or blockchain-related business environment.
  • Experience in working as a Lead Engineer or Architect and a proven track record of delivering results through effective stakeholder management and providing strategic guidance to teams of engineers.
  • Deep knowledge of security principles, frameworks, standards, and industry best practice, such as OWASP, NIST, etc.
  • Familiarity with security assessments, audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment, taking multiple initiatives forward at the same time.
  • Experience in developing secure code and implementing secure development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience in the implementation and management of a security awareness programme.
  • Experience in handling security incidents and breaches, and performing incident response and forensics.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Full English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
