Take a Chef is a fast-growing FoodTech startup based in Vila-real, Spain. Our innovative team is passionate about culinary experiences and cloud technologies. We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our hybrid team.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Specialist to optimize and scale our cloud-based infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth development cycles. You will work closely with our product teams to create a robust, reliable, and scalable infrastructure to support our platform's growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and scale Linux systems for our cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Implement and optimize containerization using Docker/Podman.
  • Work with AWS or GCP environments, ensuring infrastructure is efficient and cost-effective.
  • Use Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Optimize and maintain MySQL databases for performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Write efficient and maintainable shell scripts (Bash/Python/PHP).
  • Monitor and ensure system reliability, performance, and uptime.

Requirements
  • Solid experience in managing Linux systems.
  • Expertise in containerization (Docker/Podman).
  • Hands-on knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (preferably Terraform).
  • Strong background in shell scripting (Bash/Python/PHP).
  • Expertise in MySQL database administration and optimization.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket/GitLab CI/CD).
  • Fluent in Spanish and Intermediate English.
