The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Department of Language and Literature Teaching and Social Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative research projects focused on plurilingual education.
**About the Job:**
This part-time position, 17 hours per week, offers a unique chance to work on interdisciplinary projects, collaborating with experts in language teaching, sociolinguistics, and applied linguistics. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct ethnographic research and participatory research with children, families, educators, and other stakeholders in contexts of diversity.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Doctorate in the field of Language Teaching/Plurilingual Education or Sociolinguistics/Applied Linguistics/Language Sciences;
- Higher degree in Education/Language Teaching or Sociolinguistics/Applied Linguistics/Language Sciences; Master's Degrees in the same fields are also desirable;
- Experience in research and transfer projects on plurilingual education;
- Mastery of multimodal data collection, editing, and analysis tools;
- Knowledge of software for transcription and analysis of qualitative data;
- Intermediate level of Informatics (Excel and other relevant skills);
- Language proficiency in Spanish (min. B2) and English (min. C1);
- Basic notions of Arabic, French, Chinese, or other languages.
**Additional Requirements:**
We are looking for candidates with a stable residence in Catalonia for the duration of the project, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. Previous experience in collaborative and interdisciplinary research, particularly in formal and non-formal educational settings, is highly valued.
