Job Title:

Nuclear Research Leader - EPRI Europe

Job Summary:

EPRI is seeking a Nuclear Research Leader to lead its nuclear team in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing European nuclear projects, developing priorities and strategy, deploying and developing EPRI staff, and ensuring the financial success of the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage European nuclear projects with emphasis on developing priorities and strategy.
  • Deploy and develop EPRI staff in the region.
  • Ensure the financial success of the area.
  • Proactively promote EPRI's capabilities and programs with existing members, prospects, and relevant stakeholders in the region.
  • Work together with other parts of the organization to engage new members and participants in EPRI's programs.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and management capability overseeing an R&D Program.
  • Responsible for funding, spending, and workforce planning in program area.
  • Directly responsible for leading multiple staff including goal setting and performance management.
  • Proven people management experience with a strong grasp of the skills related to recruitment, hiring, people development, and retention.
  • Work directly with member advisors to ensure member engagement and guidance.

Education:

Advanced degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:

At least 15 years in the nuclear field.

Solid understanding of the nuclear industry. Evidence of having worked in projects with European utilities, and also projects with European Regulators and European Institutions.

Good knowledge of the European Platforms and Alliances.

Good practices/principles with the ability to drive the sales process from needs assessment to close.

Ability to effectively engage at all levels within member organizations, European Institutions, and other stakeholders.

Ability to work toward common goals in a team atmosphere.

Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Effective presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Strong PC skills including the full Microsoft Office Suite.
