Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Systems Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will be part of a global team working on challenging projects impacting core business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare updated information about existing control systems, including software and hardware specifications.
- Collect the latest automation software backups and prepare technical specifications for quotation related to electrical engineering and automation.
- Support potential suppliers during field visits and scope definition, participate in design work at all stages of the automation modernization project, and check project and assembly documentation.
- Install and commission work on the project for the modernization of instrumentation, control systems, and MCC upgrades, supervise commissioning and final acceptance, and guarantee process and installation safety.
- Be responsible for management of change procedures, develop and keep updated cause and effect matrices based on existing software with process engineers, eliminate defects and errors with product and software development, and collaborate with other business units.
- Define infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at segregation between IT and OT networks, integrate and data communication between diverse layers of the network following applicable cybersecurity protocols, support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity, and interact with process historians enabling communications and data for deeper analysis.
