About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Simulation Software Developer to join our team at Oilandgas.Org. As a Simulation Software Developer, you will be responsible for creating and/or updating software to ensure the success of customer-facing OTS (Operator Training Simulator) Delivery Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement/update first principles chemical engineering models in C++ within our core product.
  • Create and/or update tools (C#/C++/JavaScript/HTML) that delivery teams use to execute OTS projects.
  • Implement/update industrial communication protocol drivers for our dynamic simulation software (C/C++).

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering with programming experience.
  • +3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Able to solve complex Chemical and/or Controls Engineering problems in code (C++).
  • Experience in the field of Dynamic Simulation, specifically Dynamic Simulation of Chemical processes.
  • Knowledge of C / C++ / C# / Java programming languages.
  • Able to understand and implement APIs in these programming languages.
  • Understanding of inter-process communication protocols is a plus (gRPC, Named Pipes, CORBA, etc.).
  • Familiar with industrial communication protocols (OPC (DA and UA), Modbus, MQTT, etc.).
